About us
Established in 1998, Figureworks offers bookkeeping and business services to small to medium sized enterprises.
The company is a registered BAS and ASIC agent and operates Xero MYOB and QuickBooks accounting software.
We generally operate remotely, but can provide in-house service in most areas of Melbourne.
Services
Accurate financial statements
Maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for your business and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organisation are met.
BAS and other reporting
Represent the organisation as a registered BAS Agent for lodging Goods and Services Tax.
Prepare all supporting information for the annual accounts with your approved taxation agent.
Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control.
Cash Flows
Reconcile bank and investment accounts, and manage cash flow.
Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with business, banking, and statutory requirements.
Manage the bookkeeping function, using Xero, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that financial information is secure.
Expertise
The Principal is George Nikakis FCPA, a seasoned senior executive having worked through many business and investment cycles. He has been responsible for the financial accounting, tax, legal and governance matters for a number of large corporate and not for profits over many years.
George is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (FCPA). He brings over 40 years of senior management experience with local and international property funds, tourism and hospitality, NFP membership and manufacturing-based companies.
George also works with a number of private clients that own hotels, medical centres, shopping centres and supermarkets.
His particular skills lie in being able to identify opportunities for improving profitability and management outcomes.
